She was a pastor's wife, a bookkeeping professional, and a devoted mother to Maryruth and Alyssa. Those who knew her remember her humor, her reassurance, and her steadfast support of her husband Gerhard's ministry.
Devonne was a founder of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Shields, Michigan.

Earl Howard Devereaux was born on May 15, 1920, in Saginaw, Michigan; family records also note May 24, 1920. He was the father of Devonne Devereaux.
His life spanned wartime service in the Pacific, study at Michigan State, and a long career in medicine. In his earlier years he did veterinary work and often took his daughter Devonne along on farm calls to care for cattle and horses; he went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and built a longtime medical practice in Saginaw.
He died on January 24, 1978, in Saginaw, Michigan.
World War II Military Service
Federalized in 1940 as part of the 27th Infantry Division, the “New York Division,” and registered for service in 1942.
He served in the Pacific Theater throughout World War II.
Education
He returned to school after the war, graduating from Michigan State in 1949. He later earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1964 from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, the world’s first osteopathic medical school.
Medical Career
He held a longtime family medical practice in Saginaw, was board certified in general practice, and was awarded a Fellowship by the College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners.
Marriage & Family
Earl married Dorothy Irene Boguhn, known as Dottie, on June 7, 1947, in East Lansing, Michigan. Their daughter Devonne was the fourth of their children.

Hildegard Mau (née Masurat) passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 - Thanksgiving Day - in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
She passed during the family’s Thanksgiving 2019 dinner; the photographs from that day are kept with the family photographs below in her memory.

She was a spirited cheerleader and a devoted homemaker. She and her husband Jack raised five children in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, before moving to Mesa, Arizona.
Dottie was an avid tennis player and a lifelong jitterbug dancer.

Franklin D. Howell was born on March 20, 1937, in Henry, Nebraska.
He worked as a television camera operator in Wichita, then went on to work for Dun & Bradstreet and Cessna.
He and his wife Judy were foster parents to 27 children, including Alyssa. A devoted Nebraska Cornhusker fan, he stayed active in his church throughout his life.

Alice Ruth Anderson was born on August 10, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Rev. Robert A. Anderson.
A longtime resident of Farmington Hills, Michigan, she was the mother of Lynne Bauer and Carol García. She was the mother of a beloved church member and was lovingly known as Grandma, though not related by blood.
She passed away on June 21, 2014, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
